People are also saying Bolland committed a slash during the sequence when Chicago scored their GWG.

The refs were MIA the entire game except for some tickytack calls on weak penalties that were actually called. I'm really tired of the refs interjecting themselves into games this year (Not just vs the Avs). We should have still pulled though though... If I seen Hunwick in person right now I would punch him in the face.

I am no longer expecting anything until we get ride of Sacco, and Hunwick, O'Byrne, and Zannon. Oh and add at least one if not two top 4 defenders....

Zannon + Hunwick + O'Byrne = 5.65M

Basically we need a top 5 pick this year IMO.

Great game! Good hustle from the Avs. Chicago is living some magical moments right now. Let them enjoy it while it last.

Seriously... Hunwick is just a walking example of how to do EVERYTHING wrong in the NHL. I can't believe how many times tonight I yelled, "Hunwick, you idiot!" at the TV.
I don't wish bad on anybody but I'd give just about anything for something to happen to this guy just so he was no longer an option for Sacco The Wacko.

Kobasew as well. You get a chance to prove your worth and put a pathetic shot on net on a break away. Thank goodness for Varly or this would have been ugly.

Hunwick is insanely frustrating... If only because Sacco seems to have some sort of love affair with giving him the most ice-time out of our defenders.

Eh... even I have to admit, Kobasew is a 4th line plugger... anytime he puts the puck in the net it's a gift. Hes fine for what he is, and that's a penalty killer and an energy forward who can give you a few surprise goals a season. Hes a more skilled less physical version of McLeod... It's called a 4th line forward.

Emery was pretty solid as well. You have to give it to Chicago, they have more talented players and they worked hard.
Some of the AVS top players had ordinary performances tonight like Parenteau, OReilly and Stastny (again). I liked McGinn and Duchene efforts in this game as well as Barrie's (this kid belong in the NHL).

avs have a nice little collection of forwards especially with ROR back.

defense is another monster though, needs a lot of improvement.

its not like they have been killed the past 2 games, they lost them both by a goal and had chances to win it or tie it.

UFA, Healthy Scratch with a NTC, and an RFA 6th/7th depth chart dman, seems like a leafs trade to me

This is where coaching comes in, which we do not have.
Why he thought 5 forwards on the PP is a great idea, ill never know, Barrie has looked good on the PP, but why give a rookie experience out there. Sacco 101

Great Game Av fans ... You got a good fast team there .... I agree on the missed call on bolland .. Got away with one there but there were many missed calls tonight on both sides ... That elbow that sent shaw to the locker room didn't look like a hockey play .....

When you slow it down, it looks like a dumb play by Stastny. I honestly think he was just trying to interfere and gain position on shaw but just got his elbow up instead of gaining the inside and slowing him up. Either way, its a penalty.

Not that the Avs would benefit from a resulting power play; they're too good at shooting themselves in the foot on those.

I think you were on the powerplay , booland was stupid there , would of been a 5-3 if they call it ... You score and the streak ends .

He's a skating example, if he were walking at least he'd have an excuse for being 5 steps behind the play at all times. This coming from someone who actually saw him score a goal, in person, for the Avs..

and by the way sir your avatar is spectacular.

The referees have been great, but at least every team has benefitted and been hurt by them. Makes the games frustrating to watch at time though.
